Corby earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Oral Roberts University and an undergraduate degree in Speech Communication from Oklahoma State. She is a Certified in Prayer Counselor and Christ Care Small Group leadership training. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors as well as the International Christian Coaching Association and attended the national meeting this past September.

She has coached and counseled well 1000+ people over the years – as a full-time employee, a part-time consultant and as a volunteer. Her focus is primarily on women and teenage girls. She performed her counseling internship at First United Methodist in Tulsa – a church that is nationally recognized for their counseling and healing ministry.

Teaching and training.

She has facilitated and taught dozens of classes and study groups – in seminars, workshops, retreats and youth groups. She wrote and currently teaches Pure Empowerment, a six-week course for teenage girls. She also wrote and leads Discovering a New You, a seminar for women; groups are limited to 10 participants.

Corby led a Tuesday Bible study at Sonrise Church in Newnan for two-plus years; the group grew from 10 to 30 women. As a college student, she started a Sunday school class for college age students; one Sunday 20 students joined the church. She has co-led several Bible studies with her husband, John Winters. She’s led 12-step recovery

Corby has authored three books and is in the process of self publishing them, she blogs three to five articles a week for the past four years, and she has fulfilled 100+ speaking engagements. Now she serves as Chaplain for Miss Oklahoma. She speaks to 80+ contestants, their parents, chaperones and pageant volunteers. She also writes a devotional specifically for them.

Her most recent work is Power Prayer Girls, a handbook on prayer to raise a generation of mighty intercessors for Christ. Corby is currently completing The Little Black Dress’ Guide to a Fabulous and Healthy You, a guide that includes healthy delectable and delicious recipes and 50 fabulous tips to achieving beauty inside and out.
